Feed the Needy
Every third Saturday of the month “Feed the Needy” feeds the homeless and needy of Geneva.
Working out of an old converted restaurant just behind the Cornavin railway station in Geneva, the group starts with a trip to the local shops to buy groceries and then prepares and cooks the meal, which is supervised by Feed the Needy’s master chefs.
Around 150 – 200 hungry guests are served at 12h00 before the volunteers then clear up (pas de panique, the guests wash their own dishes!).
Afterwards the volunteers relax together over a drink or a meal.
Registrations are only open in the week prior to the event.
Donations
Donations to Feed the Needy are tax deductible and can be sent via bank transfer within Switzerland to Carrefour‐Rue, the registered Swiss charity which manages their accounts. Please mention ‘Feed the Needy’ in the message with your transfer to Carrefour‐Rue at the Swiss postal account CCP 12‐26603‐6.
